Friday Nails: Bundlemonster layering experiment

bundlemonster layered

Hey guys. This week I decided to experiment with some different polishes with the Konad Stamper and Bundlemonster plates I reviewed last week. I’m trying to find other polish colours that work with the plates/stamper. I’ve found that it has to be on the thicker side.So I tried one of my chrome polishes that had thickened up a bit. It worked pretty well, but I chose poorly for the design! … Continue reading

Friday Nails: Red Scale Experiment

Friday Nails: Dreamy Neon Bellini

Hey Strangekittens. Neons and matte nails are in right now, so here’s a trendsetting tutorial for you, in neon orange and yellow. It’s bright, but the matte coat takes it down a notch into trendy instead of tacky.

You will need:

neon bellini 1

-An orange

-A yellow

- A matte coat. The easiest to find would be Sephora by OPI.

-Some Q-tips/cotton buds

Step one:

2-3 coats of yellow.

neon bellini 2

Step two (and three, actually):

Use the q-tip to dab small amounts of the orange onto the nail. Make it messy, but don’t cover the yellow! You want it showing through. Let that dry, and finish with a matte coat.

Mine turned out like this:

Neon bellini 3

It’s an easy effect, and you could do this with any two colours. :)

Have a good weekend! Don’t forget, for US and Canada, it’s Mother’s Day on Sunday. If you have a mom worth celebrating, that is.
